FINAAAALLYYYYYY

There was a time when I was really into designing griffins. Sure, all the sketches only took up two sheets of paper, but now I feel like I have a "standard" by which I draw these pretty creatures by.

I imagined them to be primarily tree-dwellers. Their homeland would be filled with gigantic Redwood-esque trees.

Their wings aren't much good for flying. Actually, they only use them to gain a minimal amount of lift while leaping from branch to branch. Their tail balances out all of the weight and has quite a few feathers on the end of it. Maybe the tail feathers serve some kind of courting function or it's a lingering trait from their presumably flight-worthy ancestors.
